Apply For Funding

Interested applicants are invited to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI)  along with

the required documents. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and

incomplete applications will not be considered. Upon determination of project

eligibility by the Underwriting Committee, applicants will be required to

complete a full application and submit a $500 application fee.


The lending guidelines and framework for MBCAHF are driven by the following guiding principles:

1. MBCAHF is guided by its mission to support the development and

preservation of more affordable housing in Macon-Bibb County as a

response to the current housing crisis. It strives to prevent future affordable

housing supply shortages in Middle Georgia.

2. MBCAHF seeks to garner community input to guide its work to provide a

flexible source of capital that is responsive to the needs of community

members in need of greater affordable housing access and to affordable

housing developers committed to creating solutions.

3. MBCAHF prioritizes serving lower income households through its products

and programs.

4. MBCAHF seeks to increase homeownership opportunities that support

wealth- and asset building for families and stabilize communities.

5. MBCAHF seeks to diversify available affordable housing stock in Macon Bibb

County by providing capital to finance:

a. A variety of housing types, including multifamily and single-family

rental, single-family homeownership, and efficiencies.

b. A variety of development types, such as new construction infill, and

acquisition or rehab of existing housing

c. Housing affordable to a wide range of income levels up to 120% of

Area Median Income (AMI).

6. MBCAHF seeks to build the capacity of local developers with an emphasis

on minority-owned development firms.
